One of those days

Today was one of those few days when everything didn't go according to plan. Didn't mean it's completely screwed tho'. Just.. Scattered all over the place. Like Bumi's vomit *ohno

So the kids hitched a ride with a friend, a neighbour -unplanned
And the husband got his ride to the airport almost an hour after the requested time - unplanned
As I started translating, B's teacher texted me, asking me to pick him up because he didn't feel well - totally unplanned
So the wife picked up the boy, and the girl.
And we drove to the mall duh!

The league continues every Sunday with team practice every Friday afternoon. So, every Friday the kids leave school at 3pm instead of 4pm. It's been going on since December last year with 2-week break for Christmas and new year holiday. So far the kids are enjoying themselves, if not for the sport, the friends! Alhamdulillaah they get along pretty well. Nevertheless, I think basketball started to be their thing, considering that's the only routine we haven't heard them complaining about *wink

Now that it's the low season, we are now considering going on a vacation. Papu will take his annual leave, well, it's about time. And it's the beginning of the semester, of which I think there won't be any exam for the next two weeks. Really hope so.

Bumi's 1st Visit to Pedodontist

So Eager and Nervous, he jumped on the seat before 
the dentist told him to hahaha

Pedodontist is a dentist, specializing in kids dental care. Back in 2011 Najeela had her 1st visit in KMC, Kemang. We were planning to take Bumi there, but our last couple of visits did not allow any appointment. Busy, busy, busy. Engagements and weddings here and there.

Young Enterpreneurs: The Beginning

While I was browsing just now, researching for ideas to encourage my youngsters' enterpreneurship, I found this one article about 4 persons who started their businesses early in their lives. One particular person is only a kid of eight when she started her own hair product. Najeela is eight this year on August. And that's why this article in BBC News interests me. I can tell that my girl loves selling stuff and especially loves getting money out of it. Even at 5 in kindergarten she would offer her teachers products from my Oriflame Catalogue. It always amuses me how she seems to be really impatient of my reservation about my way of doing business. She would say, "Do you quit your Oriflame?" or "Are you still selling Oriflame" if I don't give her catalogues to be shown off.

So what does that show me. It's not impossible for them, the kids, to have a will, or dream of getting money from selling stuff they want to sell. It's not like the 90s anymore where all you can think of is that once you get that higher education, you'd be engineer, policeman, doctor, etc. In essence, we grew up longing to be an employee somewhere out there. Now, it's reall a differrent world. Especially for us, my hubby and me, who comes from a family of employees, whether private sector or governmental. Kids these days seriously are considering getting money from selling! It's just a matter of what to sell that needs to be clarified. One day, my girl wanted to sell her used underwear because they are already too small. We don't want that, right? Thus, this is where ideas, brainstorming, and research kick in. 

Pasta Frenzy by Li'l Papuans (Patent Pending)

It's been 2 weeks since we started our PASTA FRENZY days, and she seems still excited about it. Meaning, not yet bored about it. Me? I'm just the mom who cooks. Super glad to have incoming orders for my little daughter's brand new company. She's doing the promotion, the distribution of tester cups. So where do we go from here, then? That's what I'm going to find out. School is ok. Once it held a business day, but not yet to be accounted for. I want business to be in the lesson plan if it were up to me. But it's not. So, I'll go do that research let you know 

Mencari Tujuan Liburan Anak yang Oke Punya

Salah satu pe-er orang tua yang punya anak usia TK dan SD yaitu mencari tempat main yang sesuai buat anak2 selain di rumah dan sekolah.

Nah,  bagi kami,  tempat favorit kami adalah PANTAI yang pertama. Mungkin karena babak pertama drama keluarga kecil kami dimulai di Jayapura,  dengan alamnya yang luar biasa indah,  terutama pantainya. Pantai holtekaamp, pantai Amay, Pantai dok 2, pantai hamadi,  pantai base G, diantara banyak pantai yang sangat indah yang sudah kami injak. Belum lagi di Manokwari. Wah Ancol mah lewaaaat heuheu. Di sana tidak perlu nyebrang ke pulau kecil untuk menikmati pantai yang indah.

Bumi: After School

Bumi's ritual everyday after school,  if mommy stays home that is.  Joining his daddy in the meeting room and takes over whatever gadget he could confiscate.  Kidzui would be in order then ^_^

When nothing can be confiscated,  well,  there's always the pantry there on the same floor.

Papu,  Najeela, Bumi,  they arrived home at around Maghrib time just in time when the electricity is out.  Ouch!

PLN always has a way to make our day.  Pitch black,  since we don't have a proper emergency light,  yet.  We managed tho,  with a couple of exhausted flashlight. I mean,  they literally struggled.

Snack in the dark

I cooked the prepared floured chicken with the help of my loyal tab camera flash.  Thanks to the hard reset, I haven't had any flashlight app installed yet.
Anyway that reminds me.  My next post will be a list of the must-have apps in my GT P7500. Guess I'll be needing it since wiping clean is kind of a habit now. Ugh.

Preliminary Interview: TK Aisyiyah

Super excited!

Hari ini jadwal pengembalian formulir TK Aisyiyah. Jeela ga bisa jawab almost all yg kepseknya tanya hahahahahaa. Silly girl. S'okay baby, you're still our star ☺

Meanwhile, It's the 2nd day of Vuria black out. 1st day was scheduled. 2nd day, today, is a blown out Trafo. Since 2am this morning, still ongoing up till now, 22.00. We checked out a hotel nearby, and it's not that worth it. Driving all the way to Jayapura for Swiss-bel or Aston is not an option, considering Bim2's condition (brebet & nguing). So, we stick to our Vuria home. Alhamdulillah, adik sampe rumah langsung bobo. One down, 3 to go. God, have mercy. Please bring us civilization. Get us electricity.

All in all, kesimpulan: Not the Perfect Day to Pull Out a Molar Tooth T_T
