yes, it's a stand-in-line, one-time get-whatever-you-want buffet kind. You just pick what you want directly from the window, rice and all. My favorite is bakwan udang. No lack of options there. Beside the buffet, there are also ayam kremes, it's fried chicken with crumbs and rawon, the famous black meat soup of Java, of which you have to order and priced a bit higher than the buffet. They charge Rp15k for 1 plate of buffet menu and Rp20k for the preorder menu. You don't have to memorize what you took, the waitresses are all trained to do that just by glancing at your plate while delivering complimentary mineral water. Pay after you eat at the cashier who will only ask if you take anything from the table like peanuts or crackers and that's it.

You want a healthy home style cooking with affordable price in Makassar, this is the place. Highly recommended.

The league continues every Sunday with team practice every Friday afternoon. So, every Friday the kids leave school at 3pm instead of 4pm. It's been going on since December last year with 2-week break for Christmas and new year holiday. So far the kids are enjoying themselves, if not for the sport, the friends! Alhamdulillaah they get along pretty well. Nevertheless, I think basketball started to be their thing, considering that's the only routine we haven't heard them complaining about *wink

Now that it's the low season, we are now considering going on a vacation. Papu will take his annual leave, well, it's about time. And it's the beginning of the semester, of which I think there won't be any exam for the next two weeks. Really hope so.

Where There's a Will, There's a Way

Seriously. This cc business is getting on my nerve. But someone's got to do it.

Anyway, I finally went to GG this morning. Ooouwh my muscles ache after so much sitting and lying at home for a month! Guess I don't start from zero but minus. It's actually worse than two months ago when I first started GG.

Day Off

Yes, J & B are staying home today. I need to make sure J doesn't sweat her neck and as for B, well, let's just say he's not himself this morning. He's actually a quiet sleeper and a morning person yet here he is open-mouthed and snoring at 6.30 am. My bad. Last night I threw in an anti allergic drug along with his asthma medication. I couldn't stand to see him awake until late at night like that. Hopefully they'll be right as peach tomorrow. Papu already left at six after preparing breakfast for J. Rather gloomily I suspect. Hmmm... Aways be the one who objects to routine deflection he is.

Anyway for me, medicine shopping, vacuum cleaning, bedsheets washing and furniture rearranging are waiting ahead. So, Happy Monday happy folks!

Finally Open!

Alhamdulillah the sports center at our residential area has finally opened, per Oct 1st the swimming pool has been available for the residents. The kids are super excited and can't seem to have one day without going there and swim. Except for my girl.  She only went there once and came down with fever and an unknown redness all around her neck. Hope it's just a simple rash from the fever. The whole family had a mild sore throat, guess the heat has taken its toll. No sign of rain yet, at all. That is maybe why this pool opening thing has greatly energized the whole neighbourhood. The Heat is murderous!

4. If it's true, which is not likely, I might offend a friend. And even though it's only 'FB friends' and 'I don't mean it', that's really the least I want.

Blueberry Cheese Cake Penghibur Lara

Rajab 5th 1435 H was Bumi's July 8th 2008. His 6th Milad in Islamic Calendar. Alhamdulillah...

Mom and Dad and pretty sister Najeela wish you the very best. May Allah SWT bless you with strength of iman, patience, and brain that goes beyond earthly matter. Amiin.

When asked what he wanted for breaking his fast that day, he'd said spontaneously, "Blueberry Cheese Cake!". And so we'd gone to this bakery and bought a slice. Maghrib came and he put his small fork over the cake. 'Aaaargh!' If ever there was a description for a cheese cake as fluffy-soft-melted, then this particular cake was anything but.

And today, Rajab 16th (12 days after), still early in the morning, came one big Harvest plasic bag containing a carton box and two cans of Cookies Harvest. Super excited, the Spidey Boy looked like this:

Inspirasi Super dari Buku Pinjaman

WOW. Itu kata pertama yang terlintas saat pertama membaca judul buku milik teman yang baru saja menerima paket buku belanjaannya dari salah satu toko online. Temanku yang baik hati itu langsung menawarkan, "mau pinjam?" Mau banget atau mau aja, sebenarnya itu yang lebih tepat. Tapi ga tau diri sekali ya kalau buku baru langsung dipinjam. Meskipun dia bilang kalau dia sudah baca buku yang pertamanya jadi tidak masalah kalau saya baca duluan. Woow. lagi. Ini buku kedua? Kemana aja saya selama ini? hahaha. Anyway, saat itu saya baru sampai novel ke-5 dari 7 novel Stephen King, The Dark Tower Series. Hmmm... segenting-gentingnya isi bukunya, ga mungkin saya meninggalkan novel dari penulis favorit saya ini di tengah jalan. Begitulah pola pikir saya sebagai orang tua yang masih jahiliyah *tutup muka*.

Sejak jauh-jauh hari, sudah apatis menonton aksi politisi wara wiri di TV, di jalanan, di baliho, di kaca angkot, bahkan di selipan bawah pintu rumah. Bulat tekadlah Bu2n untuk Golput. Namun mendekati hari H, nurani makin tergerak untuk ikut ambil peran dalam masa depan negeri yang rasanya makin hari makin sulit untuk dicinta ini. Tapi dimana-mana cinta perlu perjuangan, ya gak? Bahkan disaat yang paling terpurukpun. Terlebih di saat paling terpuruk, disitu cinta diuji. Bukankan pasangan yang menjalin janji untuk hidup bersama pun berikrar For Better and Worse. Bukan ATAU ya. DAN. Dalam senang DAN susah. 

GAGAL MILIH CIIIIING!

Dan pagi itu Najeela, Bumi dan Papu jalan kaki menyambangi TPS terdekat (yang ternyata tidak dekat) membawa 2 KTP. 6.30 pagi saat itu. Komisioner yang bertugas disitu menginfokan bahwa pemilih tanpa form C6 yang terkenal itu, harus kembali jam 12 siang untuk memilih. Senangnya. Rasanya terhibur dari kesal karena tidak ada petugas yang mendata atau mengantar undangan ke rumah sampai hari H. Yah, meskipun memang tadinya bukan masalah besar ya buat yang berencana golput hihihi...
